Personality

Hey everyone,

Today in class we discussed Personalities.

If you want to learn more about personality types, feel free to check out the Best-Fit Type website. Also, here is a link to the Myers & Briggs Foundation. Wikipedia has some information about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Here is even more information about personality types. Finally, here is a link to a personality test if you're interested...

If you find any good free online tests, feel free to leave a link in a comment!

Or, if you took a personality test, feel free to share your results here :)

(Please note that I'm not really seriously into categorizing personalities, but people do talk about it and I think many treat the matter seriously. I could see how understanding personalities could be useful in communication...)

Today's Plan

TASK #1:

1) Analyze 2 advertisements.
2) Provide links to ads on blog.
3) Explain any interesting or new vocabulary or idioms that you see in the advertisements.
4) State the advertising technique.

TASK #2:

1) Find 3 fun words or idioms to share. (It's okay if you use ESL/learning websites for this.)

2) On your blog, explain the meaning and give the online example you found.

Today's Plan

Hey everyone! Here's the "lab plan" of the day! Have fun!

1) Comment on each other's blogs (from last week). Leave 5 or more comments. Write down whose blogs you comment on (their names -- I'll ask you to fill out a form about this later)

2) Journal assignment:

*Choose 3 idioms/vocab from your journal (any journal is okay).
*Research one more example of the same vocab/idiom.
*Post this additional example and the website you got it from.
*Please use the word "journal" in your title.
*Comment on others' posts. Again, leave 5 comments and write down whose blogs you comment on (their names -- I'll ask you to fill out a form about this later)

*If you don't finish the above by the end of class, make sure that by tomorrow you have completed the following:

-->Left a total of 10 comments on others' blogs
-->Posted a new post (see #2 for details)
